I apply the same philosophy of project-oriented research to the stages of translation, with a focus on tangible (user-oriented) benefits: I use SDL Trados Studio 2014, the gold-standard translation software for managing project-based translations.
QA Checklist for outgoing translations: Automatic checking of grammar, formatting and compliance of the client´s style guide. Terminology management tools for accuracy and terminological consistency. Back translation and expert support from external network.
Delivery in target file format and client validation. As in the past at the laboratory bench, I record all project details for the purposes of traceability and follow-up.
